Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 10 September 2025
Last Updated: 11 September 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how SOFTPIQ Limited (“SoftPIQ”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites and online services (collectively, the “Site”). It also explains your choices. Please read this policy together with our [Privacy Policy] and [Terms & Conditions].
1) What are cookies and similar technologies?
“Cookies” are small text files placed on your device by your web browser at a website’s request. Related technologies include local storage, pixels/web beacons, SDKs, and device identifiers. In this policy, we call them collectively “cookies”.
Cookies may be:
Session (deleted when you close your browser) or Persistent (remain until they expire or you delete them).
First-party (set by SoftPIQ) or Third-party (set by our service providers/partners).
2) How we use cookies (categories)
We only use cookies to the extent permitted by law. In the UK/EEA, non-essential cookies are not set until you give consent.
Strictly Necessary (no consent required)
Enable core functions such as security, network management, cookie consent recording, account log-in, checkout, license/asset delivery, and fraud prevention. If you block these, the Site may not work.Functional/Preferences (consent required in UK/EEA)
Remember settings such as language, currency, and region; keep you signed in if you choose; remember that you dismissed a banner or modal.Analytics/Performance (consent required in UK/EEA)
Help us understand Site usage (e.g., pages viewed, time on page, errors) so we can improve features and content. We configure analytics to minimize data (e.g., IP masking where applicable).Advertising/Marketing (consent required in UK/EEA)
Measure campaign performance, build audiences, and (if you opt-in) show more relevant ads for SoftPIQ on lawful platforms. Typical tools include platform pixels and ad tags from Google, Meta, TikTok, and other legitimate ad networks we may use from time to time.
We do not allow cookies to be used for unlawful tracking, and we do not knowingly enable targeted advertising for users under applicable age thresholds.
3) Lawful basis & regional compliance
UK/EEA (ePrivacy + UK/EU GDPR):
Strictly necessary cookies rely on legitimate interests. All other cookies rely on your consent via our Consent Management Platform (CMP). You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 6).California (CPRA/CCPA):
Some advertising/analytics cookies may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time using our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link and we will also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out for sale/sharing.Other regions:
We apply region-appropriate choices and disclosures consistent with local law.
4) Third-party tools we may use
Analytics: Google Analytics (with IP anonymization where supported/configured).
Advertising: Google Ads/Marketing Platform, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and similar compliant partners.
Consent: A CMP that records your choices and prevents non-essential cookies until you consent.
Security/Fraud: Tools that help prevent fraudulent transactions and protect accounts.
Third-party providers may process data in other countries (including the US). Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses). See our Privacy Policy for details.
5) Examples of cookies (illustrative)
The exact cookies depend on your region, device, and choices. A live, up-to-date list appears in the “Cookie Settings” panel on our Site.

6) Your choices: consent, withdraw, and controls
Cookie Settings (recommended): Use the “Cookie Settings” link (in our footer or banner) to grant/withdraw consent per category at any time. Changes take effect going forward.
Browser controls: You can block/delete cookies in your browser. Blocking all cookies may break essential Site features (e.g., login, checkout).
Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where required, we treat a valid GPC signal as a Do Not Sell/Share choice for advertising cookies.
Do Not Track (DNT): Because there is no unified industry standard for DNT, we currently rely on our CMP and GPC handling as described above.
Google Analytics opt-out: You may install Google’s browser add-on to limit GA collection.
Ad preferences: Manage interest-based ads with the platforms directly (e.g., Google Ad Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, TikTok Settings) and via industry tools (youradchoices.com; youronlinechoices.eu).
7) Children
Our Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly deploy advertising cookies for users under the applicable age threshold. If you believe a child has provided information or received non-essential cookies, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8) Data retention
Session cookies: removed when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies: retained only for their stated purpose and typical vendor durations (often up to 12–24 months), unless you clear them sooner or withdraw consent.
CMP consent records may be stored for compliance for a reasonable period (e.g., 12–24 months).
9) Embedded content & third-party links
If we embed third-party content (e.g., tutorial videos) or provide share buttons, those third parties may set their own cookies when you view or interact with that content. Their use is governed by their policies. Check their privacy/cookie notices.
10) Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, our practices, or technologies. We will revise the “Last Updated” date and, where legally required, re-prompt for consent if our use of cookies materially changes.
